FAQ

The questions Western buyers actually ask.

Honest answers about MOQs, samples, lead times, shipping, payment, and the gotchas of importing drinkware from China. If you don't see your question here, just email us β€” we'll add it.

Orders & MOQs

What is your MOQ?

Minimum order quantity depends on the product and decoration. Stainless thermos and travel tumblers start at 500 units per SKU/color. Plastic bottles, glass bottles, and kids' bottles start at 1,000 units. Custom molds require a 3,000-unit minimum to amortize tooling costs.

Can you do a single mixed-color order to reach MOQ?

Sometimes, yes. We can combine up to three colors of the same SKU at the same MOQ if the colors share the same powder coat batch. We cannot mix decorations (e.g. two different logos) within a single MOQ.

Do you have catalog (non-custom) products in stock?

We carry a small in-stock range of un-branded bottles for immediate shipment in 7–14 days. Most B2B orders are produced to order with your logo and color β€” that takes the full 25–35 day lead time.

Samples

How do I get a sample?

Two routes. (1) A "stock sample" β€” a generic un-branded bottle from our shelf, shipped within 3–5 days. Usually $20–$40 plus express shipping. (2) A "custom sample" β€” your logo on your chosen bottle, ready in 7–14 days. Sample fee depends on decoration but is typically $80–$150, credited toward bulk order.

Are samples free?

Stock samples are charged at cost. Custom samples have a setup fee. We credit both fees toward your first bulk order. The economics: we'd rather you confirm the product matches your expectations than ship 3,000 units of something that doesn't.

How long does sampling take?

7–14 days for a custom sample with logo, depending on decoration method. Laser engraving is fastest (same week). UV print samples take 10–14 days because of color calibration.

Lead Time

What is your standard lead time?

25–35 days for most products after sample approval and deposit received. Glass bottles and complex custom-mold projects take 30–40 days. Peak season (August–November, before Western holiday demand) can add 5–7 days.

Can you rush production?

Sometimes. We can offer 18–22 day lead time on stock-mold stainless products with a 15% rush surcharge, subject to capacity. We won't promise rush production unless we can actually deliver β€” predictable late is worse than honest "no".

Can I split shipments?

Yes. Common request from D2C brands and Amazon sellers. We can ship the first 30–50% by air freight while sending the balance by sea β€” but this adds cost and coordination. Talk to your account manager.

Shipping & Incoterms

Which Incoterms do you offer?

FOB Ningbo or Shanghai is most common. We also do CIF (we arrange sea freight) and DDP door-to-door (we deliver and pay duties). FOB is cheapest if you have a forwarder. DDP is easiest if you don't.

Do you ship to Amazon FBA?

Yes. We prepare goods with FNSKU labels, polybags, master cartons per Amazon spec, and ship direct to FBA centers in the US, UK, DE, IT, FR, ES, and JP. We have done this hundreds of times β€” including FBA-prep for fragile glass products.

Roughly how long does sea freight take to the US / EU?

Container ports: US West Coast 14–18 days, US East Coast 28–35 days, EU main ports 28–35 days from Ningbo/Shanghai. Door-to-door including customs is typically 2–3 weeks longer. Air freight is 5–7 days door-to-door.

Payment Terms

How do I pay?

Standard terms are 30% T/T deposit on PO confirmation, 70% balance against B/L copy before vessel departure. We also accept L/C at sight for orders over $50,000, and credit cards via PayPal for sample fees (3% surcharge).

Do you offer net terms or trade credit?

For established customers (3+ orders, no payment incidents), we offer NET-30 against a credit reference. New customers start on standard T/T terms.

Which currencies do you accept?

USD is standard. We also accept EUR, GBP, AUD, and CAD on invoices, billed at the daily exchange rate at PO confirmation.

Decoration & Customization

Are there setup fees for printing?

Silkscreen has a one-time screen fee of $30–$60 per color, per design. Laser engraving has no setup fee. UV print and heat transfer have a small file-prep fee (~$25). All setup fees are one-time β€” repeat orders incur no setup.

What artwork format do you need?

Vector preferred (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG). Outlined fonts and separate color layers. If you only have a PNG/JPG, we can re-vector β€” usually free below 4 colors.

Can you match my exact Pantone color?

Yes. Send Pantone Solid Coated codes for spot-color print or powder coat. We retain mixed-color samples on file, so repeat orders are batch-consistent.

Quality & Returns

What happens if a shipment has defects?

We accept AQL 2.5 defect levels in our quality terms. If you find higher defect rates on receipt, photo-document and email within 14 days. We replace defective units in your next order (most common) or issue a credit. We have not had a return-to-China case in seven years β€” solving on-arrival is faster for both sides.

Can a third party inspect before shipment?

Yes β€” please. SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, TÜV all welcome. We coordinate the booking. Your inspector can pull samples, check packing, and sign off on AQL before container loading.
